If you like camping in
Maine, and are looking for one the the most entertaining and yet
relaxing Maine campgrounds, then Greenwood Acres should be your first
choice as one of stops while visiting campgrounds in Maine. Our
family campground
is nestled on sixty acres of woods and pines. We are also one of the
only campgrounds in Maine within easy walking distance
to one of the best fishing rivers on the East Coast. As both an RV
Park and tenting facility, we offer a variety of activities that will
please everybody of all ages looking for the true experience of
camping in Maine. We are located within 15 minutes to some of the best shopping, theaters
and summer events in Eastern Maine. If you are heading to Canada and
the Maritimes, we are the perfect distance to or from the border to
rest, relax, and prepare.
In our office you will find maps of the area, the Downeast Region,
Acadia National Park(Webcam
Image), The
Maritimes, other Maine campgrounds, and local points of interest. For your dining pleasure,
we are one of the few campgrounds in Maine that has The
Misty Dawn which is now an
Internet Cafe
located here on the premises with daily specials and breakfast served all day. For those of you who like to have fun even on rainy days
while camping in Maine, we offer The Holosuite Gameroom touted as one of the best entertainment centers
around for Maine campgrounds. A new addition to our facility
AND one of the only campgrounds in Maine to have such a new venture is
family campground paintball. While this is for the more daring at
heart, this is one of the few family campground activities that is as
much fun to watch as it is to play. So if your are looking for one of
the finest Maine campgrounds, then you have come to the right place. We
truly hope you enjoy camping in Maine, and we will work hard to make

Directions from I-95
Northbound: Take exit 182A (Bangor-Brewer) to I-395. Take exit
4 on I-395. Turn right onto Rte 15. Continue through 3 sets of traffic
lights (Rte 9 East). Follow Rte 9 until Rte 178 (Riverside Drive)
veers left. Take Rte 178 North. We are 1 mile up on the right.
Southbound: Take Exit 197 (Old Town). Turn left onto
Rte 43, follow through to the set of traffic lights. Turn left onto
Rte 2. Continue to Rte 178. Take right onto Rte 178 South. Go
approximately 8 miles. We're on the left. Need More Info?????
